YCP - sip and paint events, art journalling and mixed media workshops

The concept behind the new studio is for providing quality painting experiences to be shared with a few friends in an intimate creative environment. For the most part sip and paint events are private however there may the occasional the studio with other groups rather you will be painting in an intimate and socially distanced creative space. The process for booking a private event is outlined below.

Some events will be scheduled on the website as a starting point however, groups can contact me via text or email to register your expression of interest.
The days/nights and times are negotiable for the most part and I will endeavour to accommodate your request as much as I am possible.

Booking a specific date for your group:

Initially, a single ticket is to be purchased as a form of deposit for securing a tentative date for your event.

Complete the ‘details of proposed private event’ section, then continue to the payment process to complete the transaction.
An order/deposit confirmation email will be sent the organiser.
Within 24 hours of deposit payment, a private event will be set up on the website (including a password) for your private event.
An email with the event’s direct weblink and password will be sent to the organiser.
The organiser must send all the information to other group members for purchasing their own tickets (the password is essential to proceed through the purchasing process).
All tickets are to be pre-purchased before the event (N.B. the studio no longer has EFTPOS/tap and go facilities and prefer cashless transactions for tickets).
MOBILE PHONE USERS – turn the phone sideways (landscape), add the number of tickets then scroll to top of screen, click on the shopping cart to proceed to the payment screen.

Acrylic painting and mixed media art tutorials - I will also be offering painting tuition opportunities for those who wish to learn painting skills with weekly 'short block sessions' where you can spend 2 hours of guided instruction creating your own canvas with other like-minded creatives (maximum 4 in group).

The studio setup and facilities on offer …
SMALLER NUMBERS IN GROUPS: Yes! now you can engage with your creative side with just a few friends in your very own painting event.
Minimum numbers for group events will 4 people @ $50per person (4 tickets must be purchased totalling $200).
Maximum number for group or private events is 6-8 for comfort and safety. It MAY be possible to organise off site events, but these will need to be negotiated and specific requirements are necessary.

N.B. Maximum participant numbers may change/decrease in accordance with strict COVID-19, social distancing regulations when and as mandated by Queensland Health. All glassware, table surfaces, chairs, equipment, and aprons are cleaned and sanitised after each session in accordance with Queensland Health guidelines.

PAINTING EVENTS: The 'sip and paint' component has not changed for the most part; all painting materials, glassware, aprons etc are provided.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: The YCP studio have implemented strict protocols in accordance with Queensland Health recommendations with regards to deep cleaning, social distancing, and provision of hand sanitisers. If masks are required to be worn, individuals must supply their own masks. All participants are required to sign in via the check in app upon arrival.

PARKING: The YCP studio is now situated in a residential area and strict guidelines have to be met for continued council permission for the studio. Please park on the driveway and yard wherever possible, carpooling is recommended.

NOISE: Also, it is greatly appreciated that noise level be kept to a minimum when arriving and leaving the studio.
Entry to the studio is via a gate to the left of the garage. The area will be well lit at night for safety.

Private events at the studio are a fabulous way to spend a few hours painting with friends. No artistic ability required as step by step instruction is given throughout.
